PANDANGAN ISLAM TERHADAP PENGGUNAAN UANG HASIL JUDI
Kata Kunci:
Islam, Gambling, forbidden wealth, Islamic law, wealth purificationAbstrak
This research examines the Islamic perspective on the use of gambling proceeds through a comprehensive analysis of the Quran, Hadith, and scholarly opinions. The study employs library research methods with a normative-juridical approach to explore the legal basis and Sharia arguments regarding the status of wealth obtained from gambling activities. The analysis reveals that Islam explicitly prohibits gambling as stated in the Quran, Surah Al-Maidah verses 90-91. Money obtained from gambling falls into the category of illegitimately acquired wealth (mal ghairu masyru') and is classified as impure wealth (al-mal al-khobits). Islamic scholars unanimously agree that gambling proceeds must be purified by returning them to their original owners if known, or channeling them for social interests and public welfare without expecting religious rewards. This research also emphasizes that the use of gambling proceeds for personal, family, or religious purposes is not permitted in Islam as it can lead to negative impacts both spiritually and socially.
