Abstract

The use of cadavers as teaching materials in medical education has been a common and essential practice for developing anatomical and clinical skills. However, from an Islamic perspective, the use of cadavers presents ethical and legal challenges that must be carefully considered. This article examines the use of cadavers in medical education through the lens of Islamic ethics, Islamic law, and its impact on human welfare. Through a literature review method, this article discusses how Islam views the utilization of cadavers for educational purposes, including the fiqh rulings on handling the deceased, human rights after death, and the principles of human welfare that must be upheld in this practice. The article also highlights the importance of maintaining the dignity of the deceased during the learning process and provides alternative solutions aligned with Islamic teachings for ethical and humane medical education.
