SEJARAH DAN PENGERTIAN KONSEP PSIKOLOGI PENDIDIKAN ISLAM

Islamic educational psychology emerged as a response to the need to understand the mental, emotional, and spiritual development of learners based on holistic Islamic values. Historically, the concept of Islamic educational psychology has developed since the heyday of Islamic civilization, where thinkers such as Al-Ghazali and Ibn Sina made important contributions in understanding human learning behavior. So the research will explore the history and provide a deeper understanding of the concept of Islamic educational psychology so that it can be applied effectively in the context of modern education to form noble and outstanding students. From this background, the purpose of this research is to provide an explanation of the history and understanding of the concept of Islamic educational psychology. This research is a type of library research (Library Research) that uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, data collection techniques in the form of literature studies, and data analysis using the content analysis method. The results showed that the concept of Islamic educational psychology has developed since the classical period to the modern period which emphasizes the importance of balance between the development of the mind, soul, and spirituality of students. And this study also found that integrating the concept of Islamic educational psychology in the learning process is able to provide a more holistic approach in shaping the character of students and increasing learning motivation based on Islamic values.
