Abstract

Mental health is a condition in which a person being able to cope with the stresses of daily life, can work productively, while also make positive contributions to their community. This study uses a library research approach that aims to examine various relevant approaches and findings related to the role of religion in students' mental health. Students are individuals who are usually in a critical transition period from adolescence to adulthood, where at this time a person is trying to adjust, this situation can increase the possibility of them experiencing unstable psychological and social conditions. Religion is believed to be able to prevent someone from mental disorders because religion can act as a controller, a tranquilizer, a foundation, a strengthening of faith, and also as a guide when someone is experiencing mental problems. Mental health refers to the health of all aspects of a person's development, both physical and psychological. Mental health also includes efforts to overcome stress, inability to adapt, how to make decisions about the situation at hand. This study uses a library research approach that aims to examine various relevant approaches and findings related to the role of religion in students' mental health.
