Abstract

This article examines the social challenges faced by Indonesian teenagers in normalizing and ignoring religious prohibitions in everyday life, using Albert Bandura's social learning theory approach. In this context, Indonesian teenagers, the majority of whom live in societies with strong religious values, are increasingly being influenced by behavior that is contrary to religious teachings, such as premarital sex, alcohol and drug use. Through Albert Bandura's social learning theory, teenagers learn and imitate the behavior they see in the social environment, including on social media, peers, and popular culture which increasingly dominates their lives. This research aims to explore how the processes of observation, imitation and reinforcement in social interactions play a role in normalizing behavior that was previously considered taboo in Indonesian society. By using qualitative research approaches and literature studies, studies of the Al-Qur'an and Hadith as well as observational analysis of the factors that influence teenagers, this article reveals the impact of social learning theory on changes in thinking patterns and behavior of Indonesian teenagers. It is hoped that the research results will provide a deeper understanding of the relationship between religious norms and social influences in teenagers' lives, as well as provide recommendations for more effective prevention and guidance efforts, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or acting firmly on morals and norms and providing appropriate punishment.
